On the Moon, DeLuca and his team of elite officers have secured the Moon facility. The mainframe is broken, but the life support works. They have repaired the damage caused by EMP and they are guarding the facility. They visited all the nearby facilities and found nobody but disabled robots and broken computers. It looks like the Space-Corp personnel vanished in a hurry.
DeLuca is puzzled. Why did the Space-Corp personnel abandon the moon facility? And where did they go?
Meanwhile, on Earth, Samantha and Mark are in the Governor's mansion. They are meeting with the Governor and the Mayor.
"We need to find a way to stop Space-Corp," Samantha says. "They're planning something big. We must take control of the moon facility and satellites"
"I agree," the Governor says. "But how do we do that? They're too powerful."
"We have to find their weakness," Mark says. "There has to be something we can use against them."
"But what?" the Mayor asks. "We don't know anything about them."
"That's where DeLuca comes in," Samantha says. "He's on the moon and he's been investigating Space-Corp. He might have some information that can help us."
The Governor and the Mayor nod in agreement.
"We need to contact DeLuca immediately," the Governor says. "He might be our only hope."
DeLuca receives the Governor's message. He is eager to help. He tells the Governor about the abandoned moon facility and the disabled robots and broken computers.
The Governor is intrigued. He asks DeLuca to stay on the moon and continue his investigation. He also tells DeLuca to keep in touch and let him know if he finds anything else.
DeLuca agrees. He knows that the fate of the Earth depends on his success.
The Governor and Samantha are talking in the Governor's mansion when the crowd outside loses reason. Some people start throwing stones at the mansion, and the Minister of Defense prepares military troops. Military helicopters land on the roof, bringing reinforcements.
Samantha is shocked. She can't believe that the people are turning against her.
"What's happening?" she asks the Governor.
"They've been manipulated by Space-Corp," the Governor says. "Space-Corp has been spreading lies about you, saying that you're working with them."
"But that's not true!" Samantha says. "I'm fighting against Space-Corp!"
"I know," the Governor says. "But the people are angry and they're scared. They're looking for someone to blame."
Samantha looks out the window at the crowd below. She sees people chanting slogans and throwing rocks. She feels a wave of sadness and anger wash over her.
"We need to do something," she says. "We can't let Space-Corp win."
The Governor nods. "We're going to fight," he says. "But we need to be careful. Space-Corp is powerful, and they won't stop until they get what they want."
Speaker of the House: The situation outside is intolerable, Governor. We must leave the building immediately. You are in danger.
Governor: I agree. Let's get out of here.
The Governor, the Speaker of the House, the Space-Corp representatives, and several of the Governor's entourage head to the roof to board a military helicopter.
- Governor: Military forces must remain behind to protect the mansion and the people. We will be back as soon as possible.
The military forces salute the Governor and the others as they board the helicopter and take off.
The helicopter flies away, leaving the Space-Corp facility and the city below in chaos.
The Governor and his entourage are safe, but they know that the fight is not over. They must find a way to stop Mr. Smith and save the planet.
Samantha, Mark, the Governor and his entourage board one of the military helicopters and leave the building. The governor doesn't know where they're going. Mark suggests going back to Space-Corp, confident that Torez can protect them.
Samantha hesitates. She doesn't trust Space-Corp, but she doesn't know where else to go. She also knows that Torez is in danger, and she wants to help her.
"Are you sure?" she asks Mark.
"Yes," he says. "Torez is the only one we can trust."
The Governor nods in agreement. "It's our best chance," he says.
Samantha takes a deep breath and nods. "Okay," she says. "Let's go back to Space-Corp."
The helicopter takes off and heads towards the Space-Corp facility. Samantha, Mark, and the Governor are determined to save the Earth from Space-Corp, even if it means putting their own lives in danger.
Meanwhile, on the Moon, DeLuca and his team continue to investigate the abandoned moon facility. They have used spare parts from the space shuttle to repair the mainframe and several other systems. They are watching the news from Earth.
Samantha, Mark, the Governor and his entourage arrive at the Space-Corp facility. They are greeted by Torez, who is relieved to see them.
"I'm glad you're safe," Torez says.
"We're glad to be here," Samantha says. "We need to find a way to calm the people and restore order"
Torez nods. "I know," she says. "Don't worry. You are safe here. My troops and robots are well-equipped. We can hold the crowd for a long time. Our fences are electrified."
Samantha is relieved. She knows that they are safe with Torez.
"Thank you," she says. "We couldn't have asked for a better protector."
Torez smiles. "You're welcome," she says. "Now, let's get to work. We have a planet to save."
The Governor is invited to the top floor of the Space-Corp facility, where Samantha, Mark, Torez, and the Governor have access to a conference room and can talk with AI to make a good plan to calm down the crowd and save the situation.
They sit around the conference table and begin to brainstorm. AI provides them with information about the crowd's movements and demographics, as well as the current state of the city.
The Governor suggests that they address the crowd directly and try to calm them down. Samantha agrees, but she is worried that the crowd will not listen to her.
Mark makes a suggestion. He says that Samantha does not have enough power to calm down the crowd. She must be promoted to a higher rank by the Governor and then be presented to the public.
Samantha hesitates. She doesn't like the idea of being promoted simply to appease the crowd. But she knows that Mark is right. She needs more power if she wants to be taken seriously.
The Governor nods in agreement with Mark. "He's right," he says. "You need more power if you want to be able to calm down the crowd and lead the people."
The Governor called for a meeting. The Space-Corp representatives the speaker of the house Mark and Samantha are all there. They start the conference and everyone speaks in turn. Mr. Smith was invited by AI but did not show up. Then the Governor announced his decision:
Governor: I've called this meeting to discuss the current situation. As you all know, Mr. Smith has gone rogue, and Samantha has taken control of Earth's resources of SpaceCorp. I've also received reports that she has arrested several SpaceCorp collaborators.
Space-Corp representative 1: That's unacceptable. Samantha is a traitor. She must be stopped.
Space-Corp representative 2: I agree. We need to take back control of SpaceCorp and restore order to the planet.
Speaker of the House: I'm concerned about the safety of the people. We need to find a way to calm down the crowd and prevent further violence.
Governor: We will demote Mr. Smith, and seize Space-Corp assets.
At this point, the Space-Corp representatives erupt in protest.
Space-Corp representative 1: We won't accept this! Samantha is not qualified to be president of SpaceCorp.
Space-Corp representative 2: She's a puppet of the people. She'll only lead us to ruin.
Governor: I understand your concerns, but Samantha is the best person for the job. She has the people's trust, and she's determined to stop Mr. Smith and save the planet.
Speaker of the House: I support the Governor's decision. Samantha is the only one who can unite the people and defeat SpaceCorp.
The Space-Corp representatives continue to protest, but the Governor and the Speaker of the House are firm in their decision.
- Governor: Listen carefully, Space-Corp representatives. You have a choice. You can either endorse Samantha as the new president of SpaceCorp, or you can be declared rebels and arrested.
The Space-Corp representatives look at each other in shock. They know that the Governor is serious.
Space-Corp representative 1: But we don't want Samantha to be president. She's not qualified.
Governor: She may not be qualified in your eyes, but she has the people's trust. And if you want to remain free, you will endorse her.
Space-Corp representative 2: But what about Mr. Smith? He's the rightful president of SpaceCorp.
Governor: Mr. Smith is a rogue and a rebel. He's going to be bee arrested and will be brought to justice. Samantha is the new president of Space-Corp, and she will lead us into a new era of peace and prosperity.
The Space-Corp representatives hesitate. They know that they are outnumbered and outgunned. They also know that the people are tired of SpaceCorp's tyranny.
Space-Corp representative 1: Fine. We endorse Samantha.
Space-Corp representative 2: Yes, we endorse her.
The Governor smiles. "Good," he says. "Now, let's go announce this to the people."
The Governor and the Space-Corp representatives leave the conference room and head to the balcony on the second floor. They stand before the crowd and announce that Samantha is the new president of SpaceCorp.
The crowd cheers. They are happy to be rid of Mr. Smith and his tyranny. They are also excited about Samantha's promise of a new era of peace and prosperity.
Samantha steps forward and waves to the crowd. She smiles and says, "Thank you for your trust. I will not let you down."
The crowd cheers again. They are confident that Samantha will lead them into a brighter future.
The Governor has successfully talked down the Space-Corp representatives and secured their support for Samantha. He has also calmed down the crowd and given them hope for the future.
Torez is looking up to the balcony, where Samantha and the Governor are standing. She starts clapping, and several reporters are filming her. Soon, the word spreads, and the footage is transmitted on multiple channels.
The people see Torez clapping, and they start to clap too. The rocks stop flying, and the people start dancing on the streets and hugging each other.
"We won!" they say.
Torez smiles. She knows that she has helped to save the day. She has helped to bring peace and freedom to the people.
Samantha and the Governor look down at the crowd and smile. They are happy to see that the people chilling. They know that they have a lot of work ahead of them, but they are confident that they can build a better future for everyone.
The people continue to celebrate. They are excited about the new era that is about to begin. They know that Samantha and the Governor will lead them well.
Samantha, the Governor, and their team are exhausted. They have been working tirelessly to save the planet, and they have finally succeeded. They retreat to the Space-Corp canteen, where robots bring them good food and drinks.
Samantha is modest, and she blushes when people congratulate her. She gives credit to the Governor for his swift decision to declare her the new president of SpaceCorp.
The Governor smiles and says, "Samantha is too kind. She is the one who saved us all."
The people in the canteen cheer. They agree with the Governor. Samantha is the one who saved them from SpaceCorp's tyranny.
Samantha stands up and raises her glass. "To a new era of peace and prosperity," she says.
The people in the canteen raise their glasses and echo her words. They are all excited about the future. They know that Samantha is the right person to lead them into a new era of peace and prosperity.
The Space-Corp representatives approach Samantha.
Space-Corp representative 1: Samantha, we would like to apologize for opposing you. You are a truly remarkable woman, and we are honored to have you as our president.
Samantha: Thank you, gentlemen. I appreciate your kind words. (Samantha smiles politely, but she knows that the Space-Corp representatives are not entirely sincere.)
Space-Corp representative 2: Yes, Samantha. We were wrong to doubt you. You have shown us great courage and strength. We are proud to support you.
Samantha: I am glad that I have been able to earn your trust. I promise to be a fair and just president. (Samantha knows that she will need to keep a close eye on the Space-Corp representatives, but she is also willing to give them a chance.)
Space-Corp representative 1: We are confident that you will lead us well, Samantha. You are the best president SpaceCorp could have asked for.
Samantha: I will do my best to live up to your expectations. (Samantha knows that the Space-Corp representatives are only saying this to flatter her, but she thanks them anyway.)
Space-Corp representative 2: Yes, Samantha. We are behind you. We will support you in any way we can.
Samantha: Thank you. I am grateful for your support. (Samantha knows that she will need the Space-Corp representatives' support if she wants to be successful in her new role as president of SpaceCorp.)
Samantha continues to humor the Space-Corp representatives, but she is careful not to let them get too close. She knows that she needs to be careful, but she is also determined to use their support to her advantage.
The story ends with a message of hope and optimism. The people have won their freedom, and they are looking forward to a brighter future with Samantha as their leader.
To be continued... Will Samantha manage to restore order at Space-Corp?
